MAKEUP ON A BUDGET- PART I- LIPS

Hello everyone,
I am back again with a very interesting series of posts. We all love using makeup and its like the most essential part of our life.

But looking at the cash crunch that’s come in or for those teens with a little pocket money, its totally important to buy makeup at a budget, so I decided to write a post on it.

The ones I am listing below are priced under Rest 300 and are effective. In this post , I will be writing all about the lip products i.e. Lipstick, Lip liners, Lip-gloss and Lip balms.

Lipsticks on a Budget:
1) Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick-

Priced at Rs 260, these Lakme lipsticks are a great deal. I have used almost five shades from these and they are well pigmented, glide on easily and have a good staying power. Definitely worth trying.
2) Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick:

Priced at Rs 275, these are my favourites. I have almost all shades in these, they are super pigmented , creamy and  apt for casual and party wear.
3) Elle 18 Colour Pops:
Well I am sure , we all have used these or at least heard about them. Priced at Rs 120, this one has a good staying power and has even has that moisturizing effect on the lips.

4) Faces Go Chic Lipstick-

Priced at Rs 249, Faces Go Chic Lipstick has a creamy texture, glides on very well and is cheap and affordable.

Lipgloss on a Budget
1 Street Wear Color Rich Mega Shine Lip Gloss

Priced at just Rs 170, Street Wear has some good lip gloss shades. It has a cute packaging and it is totally glossy and apt for day and night look.
2) Lakme Lip Gloss-

If you have been looking for some shimmer lip glosses, then these are the one you need. Priced at Rs 180, they come in tube form and are totally easy to apply.
3) Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss

Just like their affordable lipsticks, these lip gloss come with a wand which makes it easy to apply it. High on shine yet an affordable one.
Lipliners on a Budget-
1) Lakme Perfect Definition Lip Liner Pencil

 

To make our lips look defined and plump, it is important for us to use lip liners. Lakme perfect definition lip liner pencil makes it easier to line the lips and get the perfect shape. Priced at Rs 250
2) Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil
Priced at Rs 145, Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil comes in a twist up pencil form and is creamy and super pigmented.

LipBalms on a Budget-

Lip balms are available totally in affordable prices. Brands like Maybelline, Vaseline , Nivea provide good quality lip balms. My favourite is Maybelline Baby Lip Balms of course.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo

Recently, I visited Sephora that opened in my city some time back. It feels so good to see all the top brands at one place, I mean you can imagine the excitement with which we enter a store like this. Coming to today’s review, I have always been a lipstick lover. So its a review on  NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo.

About NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo-

Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and unlike some matte lipstick formulas also moisturizing.

Price–  The price varies online and in sephora stores, I got this for Rs 530.

Availability– You can buy them from Sephora stores based in Pune or Delhi. They are available online on some websites too.

My Review on NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo.

To be honest, this lip shade from NYX was on my wishlist since the first time I saw it on web. It was like love at first sight for me when I saw this shade. I love wearing different shades of pink and this one is my personal favourite. It is a rosy pink shade that brightens up my skin instantly on applying it. Coming to the pigmentation, it covers up the lips in the first application itself. I don’t feel the need to apply another coat of this. I always use a lip balm, wipe it off with a tissue and then apply this for the smooth application. It gives an even look to my lips , and as this is a matte lip cream, the texture is creamy and the fragrance is something similar to vanilla.. Though the scent goes away after applying it. The staying power is really amazing , I mean after having lunch and a coffee it still stays. This shade has earned me a lot of compliments and  it can be used for a daily makeup look.

Overall, I personally recommend this shade for all the complexions. If you finding a daily wear lip colour in the shade of pink, this will be the perfect one for you.

Summers are already here, the temperature is rising day by day…. Its that time of the year when Neon is in, so today  I will be reviewing some stuff from Loreal..

Loreal has launched this amazing range of moisturizer..The one I will be reviewing is Loreal Paris White Perfect Fairness Control Moisturizing Day Cream

 

Loreal Paris White Perfect Fairness Control Moisturizing Day Cream-

This day cream comes in a tub packaging. Its a day cream which is white in colour. The texture is thick and creamy, you just a need to take a bit and apply on your face. As I have oily skin, I follow my CTM routine and then apply this as a moisturizer.. It takes a bit to absorb , but makes the skin look brighter… I feel the plus point is that it contains SPF 17 which is good as I don’t need to apply a sunscreen again.. Overall, I have been using this cream since a week now, I have had no issues at all ( some acne here and there).. But I feel it will work more amazing on dry skin beauties… So why not give it a try???

 

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick Tangerine Sonate-

This liquid lipstick comes in a gold packaging which looks very classy.. The applicator is smooth , so its easy to apply this shade.. Its a shade which is dark  orange in colour… The shade glides on the lips easily, it has a medium coverage and gives an amazing shine on the lips.. Well, its an amazing shade, but would like to try other shades from this range too…

 

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Spring Rosette Review-

To begin with, I absolutely love this shade.. Its one of the best shades for the summers.. This comes in a golden metallic packagaing… The texture is so smooth, that I would love to reapply this lipstick lot of times.. Its a matte lipstick with pink or fuchsia undertones.. I use this shade almost everyday, it goes well with any make up look.. All in all, one of the best shades from Loreal Paris.. I recommend to all the beautiful ladies out there..

COLORBAR LIPSTICK-SHADE PEACH CRUSH

Hello everyone,

Today I am writing a review on one of my favourite lipsticks. It is a cute coral shade..well nowadays I am in love with coral shades and this is one of them. Colorbar lipstick in Peach crush is a coral shade and is matte in texture.

I got this lipstick from Beauty Centre and it was priced at Rs 230/- over there. The packaging is cute and can be taken anywhere. The shade of the lipstick is a bit orange colour and will look good on all skin tones. I love lipsticks which are matte and so this can be easily applied too. It brightens up the face and one can create a look with bright lips and nude eyes with this, 

Coming to the pigmentation, it is pigmented and with one swipe of color , it gives the effect. Personally I really love this lipstick because of it being reasonably priced and the staying power too. It stays for a long time on my lips.

Finally summing it up:

I love this lipstick..<3 . It can be worn on any occasion and casual wear too. For its price, pigmentation and staying power I will give this a full score on my list.
