CURRENT FAVOURITES-OCTOBER 2016

Hey all,

Its been a long time since I have posted something and so I am back with another post. First of all I would like to wish all my readers Happy Navaratri and DurgaPuja. Its a festive month ahead with Diwali coming in soon. Today I am sharing my current favourites for October and are my cult favourites for the festive season. I will be soon writing about some hacks for the festive month. So Let’s Begin.

CURRENT FAVOURITES-OCTOBER 2016

1) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer-

This is one product that I have been in love with. I have never used concealers much , but we all keeps on needing them during the festive season. I use the concealer on acne scars and this one does the job.Most of the times , I use Maybelline Fit Me Concealer with my BB Cream and its perfect to go. I use the shade from the Fit me Range. I will be posting a detailed review on this soon.

2) NYX  Soft Matte Lip Creme in Prague

This beautiful shade from NYX named Prague is a beautiful lip shade. I have already reviewed this in my previous posts.

3)  Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

This eyeshadow from Maybelline has a perfect blend of all the colours for the festive makeup. I usually like to go for the Smoky Eye , so this palette is very handy to use

4) Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick In Shade 1-

This is one of my favourite Red Lipstick from Rimmel. It is a deep red shade which will suit most of the Indian Skin tones

5) BBlunt Dry Shampoo:

Last but not the least, I really feel good the day my hair looks nice. As it is not possible to shampoo my hair everyday, I use this dry shampoo from BBlunt. Trust me on this , it has been a big saviour.

I am back with a review on a brand called Avon. Avon has been one of my favourite brand since years because they are affordable and of good quality.
Today I will be reviewing Avon Extra Lasting Lip gloss in the shade Endless Watermelon.

Review on Avon Extra Lasting Lip gloss in the shade Endless Watermelon.

I do not like using lip gloss a lot because I prefer lipsticks.But when I went through the Avon brochure,this lip gloss somehow looked really attractive to me.Lip gloss are used for any look, but for me it would go with a Smokey look.
Coming to this one, the packaging is really simple. It has a normal lip gloss packaging with a black cap and a wand for applying the lip gloss.I find the packaging simple and cute. It is travel friendly and even fits in the pocket. The wand helps to remove a proper quantity of the gloss and so it wont get wasted
or wont spill.

Talking about the texture and colour, the shade Endless Watermelon is a peachy golden gloss with shimmer.I really like the fact that it is pigmented and would give a smooth look on the lips. After applying it does feel a little bit heavy on lips, but that stays only for a bit of time.This colour can be used either on top of a lipstick or just the lip gloss. I like using this for my night look paired with a black Smokey look. The texture is quite moisturizing and smooth to use, so you might not need a lip balm for this.

The staying power is really good as it stays for a longer time.It has a slight fragrance but that doesn’t linger for a long time.I like this shade a lot but I would like to try other shades too.The most important thing is that to buy Avon products can be bought only through their representatives which sometimes can be tedious to find.But for the price it offers, it is a really nice lip gloss and Avon generally has discounts every month on their products,so you might get them at a reasonable price.

In all, this lip gloss is an affordable one and if you like such type of lip shades you can go for it. I would skip it and try other shades.

REVIEW- THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE BLEMISH FADE NIGHT LOTION

So finally the rains have hit  the city and the weather is absolutely amazing. I can sit with a cup of coffee and my phone or a book and enjoy the weather all day. But my main concern during the rainy season are my hair and face. My hair becomes limp and face becomes oily. Double Trouble !! To combat my face issues I religiously follow the CTM routine. It really helps me keep my face acne and oil free. Today I would be talking about the M in my CTM routine. That’s the Moisturizer.Do you skip applying your moisturizer?? If yes, start using it twice a day and see the difference in your skin. MY REVIEW ON THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE TREE BLEMISH FADE NIGHT LOTION:-

I have had acne issues since I was a teenage. Even after having 3 litres of water and maintaining a good diet , pimples use to pop on my face at the most unusual times. That was such an irritating phase. Phewww . Since a few years now thankfully my acne issues have gone. The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade lotion is a light weight and a bit creamy lotion which is white in colour.

It comes in a green tube packaging with the pump. I like the packaging because the pump gives out only a lit bit of lotion and so there s no way that it can spill  or get wasted. It is extremely handy and travel friendly. The texture is creamy and has a slight fragrance of Tea tree. I take the lotion on my finger tips and then massage it gently in circular motion on my face. I concentrate more on my cheeks because I have a bit of blemishes there. It gets absorbed in my skin well.

It hydrates my skin and my skin feels soft and fresh. I have used this since two years now and I am so happy with this. My acne and blemishes have reduced a lot. This is really effective and works well on my skin. The only con about this is the price. I feel it is overpriced. The lotion gets over in about two months. I would still buy it because it really benefits my skin.

If you have seen our latest instagram post, I did a haul from The Body Shop. You can join us on Instagram here. We all love that brand and they completed 10 years this year. I so love their products, every penny spent on their products is worth it. My entire skincare routine consists of their products. Let me know if you all would like me to do a skincare routine post. Coming back to today’s review , today I will be reviewing a gem of The Body Shop , which is Cocoa Body Butter.

My Review on The Body Shop Cocoa Body Butter:-

The Body Shop Cocoa Body Butter comes in a tub packaging which is safe and travel friendly. All the details of the products are mentioned on the back of the tub. On opening the tub, this smells awesome.. The only word I get in my mind when I open is Chocolateeee. Yes it smells some what like chocolate. I am an avid chocolate lover . This body butter has a butter like texture and on application it has to be massaged well so that it absorbs in the skin. It takes a bit of time to get absorbed in the skin.

After applying it, the skin feels soft and nourished and the effect stays almost for 12 to 13 hours. It doesn’t need to be applied again and again. This body butter is a must from their range for the dry skin. It is a bit overpriced but they do keep on having discounts and offers on their products. I have just finished half of the tub in the last six months and it will go for the rest of the year.

Considering everything, this is a real must have in your skincare routine. Will I the body shop cocoa butter review0repurchase this one?? Well, I would really like to try other variants in the body butter range after this gets over.

Being fit seems to be the priority of every individual in today’s world. We go to gym for a workout , walk about an hour daily and eat healthy.. There’s so much to do for all the fitness freaks. But what about the days you cannot go for a workout or have no time for it or too lazy to do it basically. That’s when technology plays a role. Today I will be listing down my personal favourite fitness apps for you which can be used anywhere and at anytime. These apps can be downloaded on your Smartphone and can be easily used.

1) Pedometer

 

No time for those tedious workouts?? Prefer a walk instead, then this ones for you. This app is my go to app as I use it daily. You can count your steps and monitor your calories burned and the distance covered on this app.You can pause it any point of time and resume it again. It also has basic tabs for resetting the count whenever you want. Totally handy and easy to use…

2) My Calorie Counter

 

Interesting name?? Isn’t it.. I am a complete foodie and the word calorie is something I never cared about until I really wanted to lose weight. Keeping a track of eating within 1200 calories is difficult. So My Calorie Counter helps me in tracking the calorie count. Initially when you install this app from Google Play store, you have to sign up with some basic details. After logging in, they ask for your basic goal , I wanted to lose weight. It is a very simple and basic app but remembering and updating what I ate the entire day is a bit difficult . So I keep on updating it meal wise. The best part is they give you personalized plan of calorie intake according to your height and weight. So go ahead and install this.. Its a great app..

3) Fitbit
Fitbit is an app which can be used with Fitbit Surge, Charge HR, Charge, Flex, One or Zip tracker with your Android device. You can connect the app with these and track daily goals , exercise regime, manage calories. The best part to stay motivated is to compete with your friends and this app allows you to do that. So its fun using this app always.

4) Nike+ Running

Superb app launched by Nike. We all love Nike shoes and their designs, don’t we?? So this app tracks your run and reach your goals basically. You can track your progress and stay motivated. In this app, you can also get some training programs, set reminders and stay fit.

5 )Fat Burning Lose Weight Loss

An app with exercises and regime to lose weight. Yes, that’s what it is. If you feeling lazy to go to gym, you can try the exercises from here. These exercises can be performed anywhere and at anytime. There are different set of routines which target fat in all the important parts of the body. Such an appropriate one to lose weight and sweat it out..
