MAKEUP ON A BUDGET- PART I- LIPS

Hello everyone,
I am back again with a very interesting series of posts. We all love using makeup and its like the most essential part of our life.

But looking at the cash crunch that’s come in or for those teens with a little pocket money, its totally important to buy makeup at a budget, so I decided to write a post on it.

The ones I am listing below are priced under Rest 300 and are effective. In this post , I will be writing all about the lip products i.e. Lipstick, Lip liners, Lip-gloss and Lip balms.

Lipsticks on a Budget:
1) Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick-

Priced at Rs 260, these Lakme lipsticks are a great deal. I have used almost five shades from these and they are well pigmented, glide on easily and have a good staying power. Definitely worth trying.
2) Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick:

Priced at Rs 275, these are my favourites. I have almost all shades in these, they are super pigmented , creamy and  apt for casual and party wear.
3) Elle 18 Colour Pops:
Well I am sure , we all have used these or at least heard about them. Priced at Rs 120, this one has a good staying power and has even has that moisturizing effect on the lips.

4) Faces Go Chic Lipstick-

Priced at Rs 249, Faces Go Chic Lipstick has a creamy texture, glides on very well and is cheap and affordable.

Lipgloss on a Budget
1 Street Wear Color Rich Mega Shine Lip Gloss

Priced at just Rs 170, Street Wear has some good lip gloss shades. It has a cute packaging and it is totally glossy and apt for day and night look.
2) Lakme Lip Gloss-

If you have been looking for some shimmer lip glosses, then these are the one you need. Priced at Rs 180, they come in tube form and are totally easy to apply.
3) Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss

Just like their affordable lipsticks, these lip gloss come with a wand which makes it easy to apply it. High on shine yet an affordable one.
Lipliners on a Budget-
1) Lakme Perfect Definition Lip Liner Pencil

 

To make our lips look defined and plump, it is important for us to use lip liners. Lakme perfect definition lip liner pencil makes it easier to line the lips and get the perfect shape. Priced at Rs 250
2) Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil
Priced at Rs 145, Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil comes in a twist up pencil form and is creamy and super pigmented.

LipBalms on a Budget-

Lip balms are available totally in affordable prices. Brands like Maybelline, Vaseline , Nivea provide good quality lip balms. My favourite is Maybelline Baby Lip Balms of course.

CURRENT FAVOURITES-OCTOBER 2016

Hey all,

Its been a long time since I have posted something and so I am back with another post. First of all I would like to wish all my readers Happy Navaratri and DurgaPuja. Its a festive month ahead with Diwali coming in soon. Today I am sharing my current favourites for October and are my cult favourites for the festive season. I will be soon writing about some hacks for the festive month. So Let’s Begin.

CURRENT FAVOURITES-OCTOBER 2016

1) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer-

This is one product that I have been in love with. I have never used concealers much , but we all keeps on needing them during the festive season. I use the concealer on acne scars and this one does the job.Most of the times , I use Maybelline Fit Me Concealer with my BB Cream and its perfect to go. I use the shade from the Fit me Range. I will be posting a detailed review on this soon.

2) NYX  Soft Matte Lip Creme in Prague

This beautiful shade from NYX named Prague is a beautiful lip shade. I have already reviewed this in my previous posts.

3)  Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

This eyeshadow from Maybelline has a perfect blend of all the colours for the festive makeup. I usually like to go for the Smoky Eye , so this palette is very handy to use

4) Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick In Shade 1-

This is one of my favourite Red Lipstick from Rimmel. It is a deep red shade which will suit most of the Indian Skin tones

5) BBlunt Dry Shampoo:

Last but not the least, I really feel good the day my hair looks nice. As it is not possible to shampoo my hair everyday, I use this dry shampoo from BBlunt. Trust me on this , it has been a big saviour.

Today I am posting a review on Neesh perfume. We all have different choices when it comes to perfumes. There are so many options available in the market , some are at a budget and some are over priced. Personally, I love wearing a mist or perfume anywhere and at anytime. Its like a must have in my handbag. I am planning to do what’s in my handbag post for you all soon and I am quite excited about it. So lets start the review.

My Review on Neesh Perfumes:

Neesh perfumes are one of a kind perfumes because they are cheap but contain very high quality fragrances. They have different types for men and women. The packaging is so damn amazing and cute. These pikpacks can even fit in the pocket and that is so cool.

I got two of them for the review

The first one is Amour De Oud which has a mixture of French Rose , White Lily and Mimosa.It has a woody kind of fragrance.

The second one is Sultana which gives a warm fragrance of amber and tea rose which is amazing and aromatic

In all , I really like their perfumes as they are affordable and are of high quality. They claim that it lasts up to 12 hours but mine lasted for a few hours. The best part is each spray costs less than Rs 1. They fit in the pocket and so are travel friendly. You can check all  the details here on their website.

I am back with a review on a brand called Avon. Avon has been one of my favourite brand since years because they are affordable and of good quality.
Today I will be reviewing Avon Extra Lasting Lip gloss in the shade Endless Watermelon.

Review on Avon Extra Lasting Lip gloss in the shade Endless Watermelon.

I do not like using lip gloss a lot because I prefer lipsticks.But when I went through the Avon brochure,this lip gloss somehow looked really attractive to me.Lip gloss are used for any look, but for me it would go with a Smokey look.
Coming to this one, the packaging is really simple. It has a normal lip gloss packaging with a black cap and a wand for applying the lip gloss.I find the packaging simple and cute. It is travel friendly and even fits in the pocket. The wand helps to remove a proper quantity of the gloss and so it wont get wasted
or wont spill.

Talking about the texture and colour, the shade Endless Watermelon is a peachy golden gloss with shimmer.I really like the fact that it is pigmented and would give a smooth look on the lips. After applying it does feel a little bit heavy on lips, but that stays only for a bit of time.This colour can be used either on top of a lipstick or just the lip gloss. I like using this for my night look paired with a black Smokey look. The texture is quite moisturizing and smooth to use, so you might not need a lip balm for this.

The staying power is really good as it stays for a longer time.It has a slight fragrance but that doesn’t linger for a long time.I like this shade a lot but I would like to try other shades too.The most important thing is that to buy Avon products can be bought only through their representatives which sometimes can be tedious to find.But for the price it offers, it is a really nice lip gloss and Avon generally has discounts every month on their products,so you might get them at a reasonable price.

In all, this lip gloss is an affordable one and if you like such type of lip shades you can go for it. I would skip it and try other shades.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN PRAGUE – REVIEW AND SWATCH

NYX cosmetics has recently launched in India and is the talk of the town currently. Initially this brand was available on international sites or in Sephora but luckily they are now accessible through Nykaa.com. Isn’t that great?? This brand has good quality makeup stuff with many shades and varieties.

If you have been following our blog, I have already reviewed one of NYX soft matte lip cream in San Paulo , you can check the review here. Today I am going to review another shade from the matte lip cream range called Prague.

The names of these lip shades sound so classy . I am really fond of this range and so after searching for a shade for my skin tone, I chose Prague. Lets see how well it suits me??

My Review on NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Prague:

 

NYX Prague is one of the best shades I have ever used . Though they have many awesome shades, I always like to try shades which are similar to  pink, berry and red. It comes in a normal lip gloss kind of packaging and has a black colour cap on it.

It is a nice berry shade with a hint of pink and I am sure it will be a hit with the Indian skin tones. On application, the colour glides on smoothly and looks perfect on exfoliated lips. It is anytime better to exfoliate your lips, apply a lip balm, wipe the lip balm with a tissue and then apply this lip colour. As this is a matte lip cream, it is advisable to do the above step or else it can settle in fine lines and make them visible.

After applying this lip colour, it feels very light and stays for a longer time. I really like lip colours which stay for a longer time . Talking about the price , I feel its really affordable and it can be used for a longer time

So , I would highly recommend this one for people who want to try something in berry shade. You will really like this one.
